Mass E-mail Promotion Tips

In order to be in compliance with the law, and not be accused of spamming, there are a few things you must do:

1. Your e-mail message must have a precise ‘from’ heading where you put in your name or the name of your company. 2. The topic line on your email must be accurate and relate to the actual content of your email.

3. As the sender you have to provide an real physical address for you or your company. Make efforts to clearly label your email if it contains adult content. You cannot have a false header on your e-mail. You need to supply a clear, and free, link for the receiver to ‘un-scubscribe’ and if they click that link they should instantly be removed from your e-mail list and you should never send them another e-mail. Having an ‘opt-in’ list is perhaps your very best protection against being charged with spam. This method will encourage your internet site visitor to sign up to receive your e-mails. They are giving you permission to send them emails. Whatever you offer them to make them sign up, confirm it has real price to your subscriber. Take a little time and develop a communication that has some real worth and substance to it.

These are the fundamentals of the law. I’m not an expert or a counsel so make sure you take a little time and learn all of the fine details of the CAN SPAM law so that you can make sure your company is in compliance. Don’t let the new laws shock you off from employing mass email selling since it can be a particularly effective marketing tool for your business.

If you take the time to find out what all the regulations are and then you follow them, you’ll be in compliance and you will be ready to add a lot of customers to your business which should eventually lead to more sales, and that’s what we all desire.
